Securities Borrowing and Lending Service (SBL)
- Service that allows investors to use investment strategies by managing risks with SBL, making profits from stock price differences (Arbitrage)

Types of Accounts
There are 3 types of Common Stock Accounts
- Cash Account Investors must deposit 20% collateral before trading securities. This collateral may be cash or securities. If the collateral is cash, investors will receive interest on this part and pay for the trade via the Automatic Transfer System (ATS).
- Prepare documents: ID Card /Passport and Bank account for receiving dividends and Bank Statement (3 months)
- Cash Balance Account Investors must deposit cash collateral before trading securities. They can buy securities according to the amount of cash collateral deposited. Prepare documents: ID Card /Passport and Bank account for receiving dividends.
- Credit Balance (Margin) Account Investors must deposit cash or securities as collateral before buying securities according to the specified proportion. For payment of securities purchases in this type of account, it may be paid with cash deposited in the account or with a loan from the company, depending on the status of the account at that time. In the case of a balance at the end of the day as a deposit or loan, the customer will have interest received or paid at the rate specified by the company for that deposit and loan. How to Install efin StockPickUp
- Login your account and choose > efin StockPickUp
- Download Program
Click open
- Click “Next”
- Click Install
- Click Yes (If no pop up you can click Finish)

- After install, if repair popup message click Repair
Condition of SBL
- Stocks borrowed/lent for short selling must be stocks in SET 100 or ETFs or stocks in the ETF basket and in the securities account that the company allows to borrow/borrow for short selling.
- Stocks lent must be stocks that have been paid and are free of liabilities.
- Minimum borrowing value of 100,000 baht per 1 borrowed stock.
- The borrower must have a credit balance account.
- The maximum borrowing period is not more than 1 year, the minimum borrowing period is 1 day.
- The company will reclaim stocks marked with X from the borrower, such as XD, XR, XW, and the borrower must return them at least 1 business day before the X date.
- Foreign stocks and NVDRs are not available for lending and cannot be short sold.
- Short selling of stocks must be at a price not lower than the last traded price (Last Execution Price) at that time (Zero Plus Tick according to the criteria of the Stock Exchange of Thailand).
- You can borrow and return stocks via the Internet (Website and Maybank trade app.) or through an investment advisor. Available between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Borrowing/Lending Fee SBL
Borrower
- Pays the fee by automatically deducting from the Credit Balance account.
- Stock borrowing fee on date T = Number of shares x Closing price of stock on date T x Borrowing fee rate/365
- The Company will also collect the borrowing fee and 7% VAT.
Lender
- Will automatically receive the fee, which the Company will transfer to the stock lending account.
- Stock lending fee on date T = Number of shares x Closing price of stock on date T x Borrowing fee rate/365
- The Company will withhold 15% withholding tax from the fee received by the lender.
